Past Programs:

2005:
  • CAAN produced and presented an evening length dance theater production, "Moon Goddess." It was presented at the Ingram Performing Hall, Vanderbilt Blair School of Music, on March 5 and 6, 2005. We received standing ovations at the end of the performances. We received compliments like: "What an extraordinary presentation. The stagecraft was fabulous," "The show was incredible!! I've never seen anything quite like it, and I have seen a fair amount of dance!"

  • We performed Chinese dances and Tai-Chi-Chuan at the Asian Spring Festival at the Vanderbilt Landford Theater sponsored by Vanderbilt University, "Window On the World" at the TN Technological University, and Family Celebration at the reception for the "Ancient threads, Newly Woven-recent art from china's Silk Road" sponsored by Nashville Public Library.   • CAAN collaborated with ACT I Theater to present "M Butterfly" play at the Dark Horse Theater the end of April, and also co-sponsored a "World Tai-Chi-Day" at the Fannie Mae Dees Park in association with The T'ai Chi Association of Nashville

  • CAAN held its 05 fundraiser, "Taste of Asia" on October 20th at the Ingram Hall Atrium, Vanderbilt Blair School of Music. Nashville Mayor, Bill Purcell was our special guest. The acclaimed Er-hu musician from Hong Kong, Hsin Hsiao-Hung, played Chinese music with Vanderbilt Wind Ensemble afterwards.
