 This month’s film is “Nomadland,” a 2020 American drama film based on the 2017 non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder. 

This film earned the best picture at a 93rd Academy Awards. 

Director Chloé Zhao is the first woman of color to win Oscar for Best Director in 2021.
